Can my dog visit?
Yes it can. There are some refuse bags by the gate, we’d appreciate if you picked up after them. It’s not a show garden, it can tolerate a little damage; don’t panic if your pet damages a plant or two.
What are the garden hours?
We don’t lock the gates, but it isn’t equipped for use after dark, so practically speaking, dawn to dusk.
I’d like to take cuttings or collect seeds. What should I do?
If you know what you’re doing, by all means, carry on. One of our goals if for the garden to be a source of plant material for other gardens. The potting shed has tools and supplies for you to use. (If you’re not sure what to do, read on.)
I’d like to help or to use material from the garden, but I’m not sure what to do.
We are happy to help you get started! Leave a note in the box at the kiosk, or send an email to bethelgardenfriends@gmail.com . Our response time may not be great, but within a couple of days, someone will get back to you to help out (it may be faster if you leave a number where you can be reached by phone or text).
I know how to do something; I’d like to do a demonstration.
Fabulous, we want to be an education venue. Let us know what you have in mind and what you might need help with; we’ll post it a notice on this site and assist where we can.
I have a group that might like to be involved; what should I do?
We have several groups that help with the garden. Just contact us, we’ll help them get started.
